Seely & Durland Monthly - Client Spotlight

The Stage Law Firm, LLP, located at 23 West Street, is the premier law firm in Warwick, NY since 1897.

Douglas R. Stage, pictured above with Garrett and Stuart Durland, followed in his family’s footsteps when he became an attorney in 1982, and now serves as Principal of the firm. Just recently, Graig R. Craver, Doug’s nephew and a veteran family law attorney, joined the firm, making it a fifth generation business that has served the Warwick Valley for more than 120 years.

At Stage Law Firm, the client comes first. They provide quality legal services in real estate, estate planning, wills, trusts, family law, and other types of general practice. Their services are delivered with friendliness, honesty, and strong advocacy. Stage approaches each case in a strategic, yet aggressive manner and works toward an outcome that its clients have clearly defined.

William Nathans Leaving

It is with great regret that Stage & Nathans, LLP hereby announces that as of January 1, 2019, William Nathans will be leaving his partnership of 31 years with Douglas R. Her areas of concentration include Family Law, including Guardianships, Support, Child Abuse and Neglect matters. She will also continue to advance the firm’s Real estate, Elder Law and Estate Planning practices.

Please be assured that the excellent paralegals and staff, Noreen Meduski, Stacy Bobrzynski, Elisa Connor and Catherine Stage will continue to provide our clients with unapparelled service for 2019 and beyond!

Town of Warwick Democratic Committee

Doug & Chris Stage were recently honored for their support of the Warwick Democratic Party over the last several years. They were humbled by the award and gratefully thanked the Committee. Doug & Chris continue to serve the community in many ways, including their work with the local Warwick Lions Club, Warwick Valley Rotary and Village of Warwick Sesquicentennial committee.

Christmas meals and gifts for three different families

Doug Stage, worked with the local ecumenical council to help deliver Christmas meals and gifts for three different families. One family was sponsored by the Warwick Lions Club, one by him and his wife, Christine, and one by Stage & Nathans, LLP.

The photo is of Doug’s second trip that morning to the local Church where the gifts are delivered.

Doug and his firm have been sponsoring a family for over 10 years.

Warwick Lions Club and Warwick Valley Rotary Club

Doug Stage, a member of the Warwick Lions Club and Warwick Valley Rotary Club, help over 150 children and their families have a better Christmas season. The two clubs combine to host two separate events, both on the same day.

We located children in need, invite them to the party. If transportation needed, Doug coordinates the Lions club children’s rides, with 4 additional persons helping to pick up the children.

This year, Doug got to drive a 15 passenger van and transported 9 children to and from the party.

At the party, the children “shop” for their immediate family members (“shopping” is at no cost to the children, the Lions and Rotary get sponsors and donate funds for the gifts). At the party the children wrap the gifts for the family members, decorate a cookie to take home, get a professional portrait, which is delivered to the families around Christmas day, get a take home photo with Santa, get a meal and Santa comes at the end and each child gets an outfit and a toy!

Smiles abound and the club members enjoy it as much if not more than the children!

This was Doug’s 30th year doing this type of event for children in need.
